Sunday Liturgy

Mass is held each Sunday at 9 am at Grace Church on Grand Promenade near the corner of Shenton Avenue - in the heart of Joondalup City, in the heart of God.

Enter down the side of the building down the path under the flame trees.

All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ.

The Liturgy
The Liturgy for Sundays after Pentecost and all the Sundays in Ordinary Time is found in the green covered booklets. Issued by the national Liturgical Commission of the Anglican Church of Australia, this experimental eucharistic rite is used with the Archbishop of Perth’s permission.

Liturgical Green
Sundays after Pentecost are the ‘ordinary’ (from the Latin, meaning ‘counted’) Sundays after the Christ cycle is complete. Having followed our Lord’s pattern of life from Advent through Christmas and Epiphany to Lent, Holy Week and Easter, we count the time until next Advent as time for growing into these mysteries – growing up as daughters and sons of the Father, growing out of ourselves to find ourselves in relationships of love and service of others. Liturgical green signifies this slow and steady growth in courageous faith and life-giving hope. The green sanctuary hangings are softened a little today and next Sunday by use of white vestments for the two festivals.

Holy Communion

This is the Lord’s table; there are no strangers here. Around the altar of God there is room for everyone. Distinctions of race, age, religion, colour or sexual orientation don’t matter to Christ. Please join us soon in this circle of belonging and blessing.

Next Sunday’s Lections
Ecclesiastes 1:2, 12-14; 2:18-23; Colossians 3:1-11; Luke 12:13-21
